Cranes and aerial platforms worked in tandem 30 meters above the Huangshali Waterway on January 6, dismantling steel supports on the main deck of the Huangshali Grand Bridge, a pivotal control project of Zhongshan's East Ring Expressway.

Construction has entered its final phase, with the main structure targeted for completion ahead of the 2026 Spring Festival.
Built in two phases, the 55.6-km East Ring Expressway links Foshan, Zhongshan and Zhuhai, with 6 hub interchanges and 9 service interchanges.
Phase 1 is set to open in August 2026, and upon full operation, East Ring Expressway will directly connect to the ShenZhong Link and integrate with the Nansha-Zhongshan and Zhongshan-Kaiping expressways to form a regional highway network.
